UHT Milk
The high sterilization temperature of milk and some milk products causes denaturalization and the precipitation of proteins which are deposited onto the heat transfer surfaces to form a fouling layer which reduces heat transfer to a level where it becomes essential to stop production and clean the installation.
In order to avoid these losses in production and costs of cleaning we recommend the use of the UnicusĀ® Dynamic Heat Exchanger, which has the following advantages:
- It never has to be stopped for cleaning because the heat transfer surfaces never foul, in contrast to systems using plate heat exchangers or tubular heat exchangers (including corrugated tube units).
- As you never have to stop the plant to clean the heat exchangers it can continue production indefinitely and avoid the production losses which occur when the system incorporates traditional heat exchangers.
